Care Beyond the Clinic

Bridging the gap between neuroscience and art to empower young minds. We transform complex brain science into creative tools for healing, resilience, and mental well-on-being.

About Me

My name is Dhea Katkuri

Hi, I'm Dhea, a high school student passionate about healthcare, neuroscience, and mental health advocacy. My interests focus especially on pediatric psychology, mental well-being, and the connection between the brain, body, and personal experiences. Through research, service, and community outreach, I have worked to make conversations about mental health more approachable and meaningful. My initiative, Mind Over Matter, reflects my goal of reducing stigma, spreading awareness, and reminding others that mental health deserves the same care and attention as physical health. Whether I am exploring neuroscience research, supporting awareness campaigns, or finding ways to serve my community, I am driven by the belief that compassion and education can create real change. As I continue growing as a student, researcher, and advocate, I hope to pursue a future in healthcare where science meets empathy, and where every person feels seen, supported, and understood.

  My Mission

I believe mental health care shouldn't feel clinical or intimidating. By combining art and science, I aim to make healing more human and approachable for children and teens.

My Research

Advancing Neuroscience and Physiological Research

My commitment to medicine is rooted in rigorous scientific inquiry and a focus on neurodegenerative pathologies. Currently, I serve as a researcher within the USC. Under the mentorship of Professor Jobin, my work focuses on the biochemical mechanisms of diseases such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and Huntington’s. This research involves investigating biomarker development and protein-membrane interactions to better understand how these conditions progress at a molecular level.
